Coke Zero - Unlock the 007 in you!

Another winner in the activation and social media engagement carried out by Coke. This time with it's beverage variant - Coke Zero.

Task: Indulge with the brand to win free tickets to the latest Bond movie - Skyfall. But Coke just didn't give it away through a radio contest...this is another activation at its best. But no notice that they gathered data along the way. All being a result of a great idea.

Objective: Experience the two powerful brands - Coke and Bond in a fun environment.

Where Education meets Practice

An old man sat across me, roofed in a mantle of chunky fiber on a frigid overcast Sunday morning in the monsoon of 1999. I was on my way to attend my customary accountancy tutorials awaiting the train on a bench in a relatively lonely railway station. Sure enough, only the final year commerce lectures are scheduled on Sunday mornings while everyone’s snoring taut on their medicated beds.

Can’t wait to explain my hatred towards the subject, then, for the pain I had to go through learning it. Didn’t score great guns, in fact merely got through Financial Accounts, but the knowledge of it all in brief is what helped me score over Finance as a subject married to Marketing in my profession. I aspire to be somewhere higher in the banking sector someday. And then look back at what I studied in school and college and gauge whether it was worth the ordeal. Ordeal was it…!!

Shouldn’t subjects like accountancy begin in school instead of learning the boring history for last 5 years of high school? Application of which comes handy only in reality shows like ‘who wants to be a millionaire’. I know of a few friends who are still wondering how to fill pay-in-slip or attend to banking formalities. Was it my commerce bachelors that helped me or should I credit the set of banking clients that I’ve worked with and handled being in advertising?

Did history help the life of the old man who sat across to me on the bench? I’m sure he would have studied that. Did he ever go to school? Did circumstances bring him to the position where he was? What was his education that met his practice?

Parallel perspectives. Mixed Beliefs.

Ok. I haven’t gone mad…nor is this an influencing narration. So do not judge me. It’s nothing personal.

There are times when you don’t get the sleep that you so desire… maybe your bed is not in the NW direction! Times when you keep having quarrels with your partner… maybe it’s a bit challenging when it comes to luck in relationship. Then there are times where you are constantly losing money; either being robbed or you carry a baggage of friends who take your money for granted.

There are times when you sit back and introspect if there’s another external force that’s allowing these things to happen in your life. Things you plan for, seldom realize. Be it as simple as going to the gym…and the routine stress of your day isn’t helping you from a health perspective.

So you tend to draw your attention towards a different perspective. Now with over 6 months of bad timing, however confident or realistic you may be… somewhere succumb to the fact and constantly ask the question WHY GOD? WHY ME?

Shifting the scope to my life, while I was screaming on top of my lungs within, Feng Shui crossed paths. Now this has happened today and I have no reason to believe in it or take it as a phase of cerebral fatigue. Fact remains Feng Shui offered me a different perspective.

It identified the key areas of concern that I’ve faced/ may face in this year and offered me Cures and Enhancers for the same. How cool is that when you know of similar instances that you’ve faced already. So according to the science, I’m a Boar (stop intending pun everywhere) – my Secret Friend being the Tiger and allies being Rabbit and Sheep. I have no clue how to identify them. But it’s believed that if you are in trouble in a deserted land and there’s a God-sent help, chances are he/she could be your Secret Friend, which you would never know. But how far is it from the truth? Now I don’t want a real Tiger to find me in a deserted land, so if there are any who know their instincts well, do leave your phone number here.

And now that I’m gonna be busy collecting Anti-Burglary Plaque, Heaven Seal (displayed here – maybe I’ll get a tattoo of it), Rising Blue Dragon (for some special energy) and Crimson Crystal Balls (to control quarrelsome energy), you guys give this science some read and watch this space for more. Till then, light a candle, diya or read the kalma for me. For that, I still believe is the Eternal Power.
